Use

The AirConditioning models a simple split air-conditioning system with indoor and outdoor units. An external controller switches cooling on or off. While enabled, the system provides constant cooling power and calculates its electrical demand from the specified efficiency.

The AirConditioning covers the following applications:

  • Basic: The system supplies cooling with a single-phase grid connection.

Parameters and Connectors

Basic

Connect the external controller to ▶On. A true signal enables cooling, and a false signal switches the system off. The output ▶QCool provides the cooling power to the connected building zone. The system receives its electrical supply through ▶Grid.

QCoolOutput defines the constant cooling capacity delivered whenever the system is enabled (specify a positive value).

The efficiency COP defines the ratio of cooling capacity to electrical demand. A higher value reduces the electricity required for the same cooling capacity. The power factor CosPhi determines the reactive power demand of the electrical connection
