Use

The pump component is used to transport heating medium with a specific volume flow. It can be specified if the electrical demand of the pump should be calculated.

The pump model covers the following applications:

  • Basic: In this case, the volume flow is defined without calculation of an electrical power demand.

  • 3-phase connection: The volume flow is defined with calculation of an electrical power demand. The pump is connected to the grid via a 3-phase connection.

Parameters and Connectors

To ensure the correct operation, the volume flow has to flow from ▶PipeIn to ▶PipeOut. The volume flow to be delivered by the pump is specified via the ▶qvRef connection. The volume flow delivered by the pump must not exceed qvMax and must not be less than 0.

In this case, the power demand of the pump is calculated by reading the table (PelTable) from the file specified in PelFile. This file must provide a correlation between the volume flow and the electrical power demand of the pump. Also the electrical power factor CosPhi is taken into account. The electrical connection ▶Grid is provided to connect the pump to the grid.
